Nachiketa and the Lord of Death tells the story of a boy whose father sends him to Death. Nachiketa spends time in the cave of Yamaraja, the Lord of Death, and becomes his student.  Adapted from the Katha Upanishad, an ancient Vedic text, the film invites the audience to contemplate a deeper understanding of consciousness on the path to conquering fear and unraveling the mysteries of life, death and immortality. During his time with the Lord of Death, spent mostly around a sacred fire, Nachiketa receives answers to age-old questions so many of us ask: How does our present life shape our future? What happens when we die? What part of us survives death? The film explores these issues and the bond we all share with one another and with our environment. Through the tutelage of this great master, Yamaraja, the Lord of Death, young Nachiketa transcends the grip of his desires and attains this highest knowledge for himself.
